Happy New Year!

I don’t have a lot to report today, but wanted to wish everyone a very happy new year.  Can you believe it’s 2007 already?  When I was little, it seemed like the time dragged on, that I’d never be 10, or 13, or 16, or 18… I always wanted that next chapter, but the wait seemed endless.  I can remember numerous adults saying “don’t rush it, when you get older time will fly — or when you have kids, don’t blink because if you do you’ll miss everything”.  I thought they were all crazy.  As long as it took to get between birthdays, or reach summer vacation, there was no way time was going to go “faster” just because you were an adult. Little did I know – everyone was exactly right.  I can’t believe Damian will be 4, and Kadence 2, in just 3 months! It seems like yesterday I was giving birth to them. The days do seem to go very fast when you’re an adult, and we tend to get so busy that we sometimes forget the little things. For all of those that I didn’t send holiday cards to, or birthday cards to last year – I am sorry. If I forgot to call you back, I am sorry. If I was late for anything, I am sorry… Being a mother of 2 (with another on the way), is alot more work than any other job out there! And adding being a wife, the owner of a business, etc – life does seem to sometimes just slip by without even realizing it. I deeply adore all our family and friends, and truly appreciate your love and friendship. My resolution of 2007 is to try not to get so caught up life – and remember to remind those that we love – how very much we love them!

Oh, before I forget – I have a confirmed due date (again).  We are due June 27th, and my doctor assures me that we are not going to change the due date any more. This is my new doctor, and I’m very excited about their staff. I am going to a private physician now, and am much more pleased with the care I am receiving. We go back on the 10th to have another ultrasound, and try to determine the sex of the baby. I’ll be about 16 weeks at that time. I then go down to San Diego (UCSD) on the 19th to have a level 2 ultrasound (which will confirm the sex of the baby), and meet with a couple specialists to discuss some of my history so they can make some decisions on how to best proceed with this pregnancy. Everything is perfect so far, but considering how difficult having the last 2 were, they want to take every precaution necessary to insure a successful outcome.  More than likely one of the decisions they will make, will be to schedule me for a cerclage. If you remember, I had one with Kadence (they stitch the cervix closed until the end of the pregnancy).  As I know, I’ll let you guys know!
