We saw the doctor yesterday, and everything looks wonderful! We are 32 weeks along now, and Kadence is weighing in at about 4 1/2lbs. She actually was measuring about 32 weeks and 6 days, so she was measuring out about a week ahead of where she should be. Looks like if we were to go full term (40 weeks), then we’d be looking at a 8 to 9 pound baby. Damian was 3 weeks early and weighed 6lbs 4 ozs, so the thought of a 9lb baby is quite scary for me!!!! 🙂 Since I have my cerclage still in place, the doctor has scheduled it’s removal for April 8th, which would put us a little over 35 weeks. The chances are pretty good that she could be born shortly after that, since removing stitches from the cervix could cause things to start progressing. But on the other hand, the doctor says that since there will now be a scar in the cervix, it should keep holding strong and it’s possible that she could go to full term, or very close to it. Her due date is still May 9th, and we’re hoping she doesn’t get here until late April or early May, although she’s the one that’s in charge so we’ll just have to wait and see!
If you haven’t already done so, please take the time to leave Kadence a message in our guestbook. We will be printing these out and putting them in a scrap book for her so that she can see how much everyone was thinking about her before she was born! And as always, you can continue to post messages there for Damian as well, each time we see a new message for him we read it to him!
One last thing, we will be moving on Monday March 21st. Our phone numbers and address will be changing. We are only moving to Boise, so we’re only moving about 22 miles away, but we decided it was time to get closer to everything that we do (Rob’s work, our doctors, Damian’s daycare, shopping, shopping, shopping, etc). I’ve already updated the contact page with our new phone number and address, but remember this won’t be effective until next week.
We go back to the doctor in 2 weeks for a regular check-up, then will go back on April 8th to see how much the baby weighs and have my cerclage removed. I’ll be updating the website after that visit.
Oops, almost forgot, I added about 12 new pictures of Damian today, so make sure you check those out!
