As usual, it’s been a while since I updated this page. We just seem to be so busy these days! And lately everyone has been sick so that hasn’t helped matters. I’m 28 weeks along, and at my checkup yesterday everything looked stable! The baby looks great and everything else is holding up as it should. The doctor is very surprised that I’m still pregnant, but of course very happy too! We’ll be completely out of the woods after 32 weeks, so only one month to go. Then at 35 weeks the doctor will cut the stitches from my cerclage. I could possibly go into labor at that time, or shortly there after. 40 weeks is full term, and that would take us to the first week of May… but Rob and I are betting that she’ll be here in April. So, looks like both kids will be April babies. It would be really funny if she is born on Damian’s birthday (the 17th of April). Sharing birthdays runs in my family… Rob (my hubby) and my dad have the same birthday… my sister Tabitha and brother Jeremy have the same birthday… and our son Damian and my sister Tabitha’s daughter Anessia have the same birthday! That is just my immediate family, I’m sure in my extended family there are probably others that share birthdays too! We will go back to the doctor in 2 weeks to find out how much the baby weighs.

We aren’t moving after all! Because Rob isn’t back in 100% shape since it’s accident, his command has decided to delay his school for one year to give him the time he needs to get better. So, we won’t be moving to PA until February of 2006. This is good news for us, as it means we don’t have to move across country in the middle of my pregnancy, change doctors, etc.
I’m 24 weeks this week, and at my checkup on Monday Kadence was doing very well. She was sucking her thumb! She weighs 1 1/2 lbs right now! I’ll got back to the doctor for a quick check-up next week, then another full check-up the following week.
January 7, 2005 – 1:52 pm
Well, I’ve had one doctors appointment since my last update. Kadence is stable!! My cervix is holding it’s own and the contractions are now under control w/ the help of some medicine. We are 22 weeks along this week! The doctor really wants us to get to 28 weeks, so that’s our first milestone, but we’ll all breath easier if we can get to 32 weeks! I will go back to the doctor next week to check on Kadence’s growth. As of now she weighs about 1 pound! She is very active in my belly, especially at night when I’m trying to sleep. I can already tell that she’s taking after her older brother. We’re thinking of naming her Kadence Sidney… anyone have any comments on that name? We’re set on the first name, but unsure of the middle name at this point.
By now everyone should know that we’re moving. Rob will start Warrant Officer school in Quantico, VA in February, so Damian and I will be going to live with my Dad and step-mom in Pennsylvania while he’s away at school. The first school lasts about 3 months, and then he’ll transfer to Aberdeen, MD for about 2 more months. Living at dads will put Damian and I about 2 hours away from Rob, so hopefully he’ll be able to come visit on the weekends, and maybe get to see his daughter be born. As you’ll remember, he missed Damian’s birth due to being in Iraq… Damian was 5 months old when Rob met him. So we’re really hoping he can be there for this birth.
One last note, I will be remodeling this website in the next few months, to prepare for the addition of Kadence! Keep checking back to see the new look!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the website, I apologize for the delay. Rob was in a car accident on Veteran’s Day, and hasn’t been back to work since then, so I’ve been very busy helping him get better, and keeping up with my other responsibilities. We are now 21 weeks pregnant, and for those of you that don’t know already, we’re having a girl! We’ve named her Kadence, but haven’t settled on a middle name yet. At our appointment yesterday, she was looking very good, and currently weighs in at about 1 lb. We did receive some disappointing news 2 weeks ago, my cervix had started to shorten like it did last pregnancy. So last week they had me in to check and see how it was doing and I had lost a centimeter in less than a week. Since your cervix during pregnancy is supposed to be 3 centimeters, losing a centimeter was definitely not a good thing, especially since it happened so fast. I was also having some mild contractions and the doctor was afraid that my cervix wasn’t going to hold, and felt that I would deliver the baby in days if we didn’t do something about it. So, on Tuesday I went in for an emergency cerclage. A cerclage means that they have sewn my cervix shut, to help prevent it from shortening any more. They ended up doing a double cerclage because he felt that one stitch just wasn’t enough. After one week, my cervix is holding strong. The contractions haven’t stopped, but they have put me on some medicine to keep them from being too strong. If we can keep my contractions to a minimum, they are hoping the cerclage will keep the baby in until it’s safer for her to be born. I’m on bed rest for what will likely be the remainder of the pregnancy, checking in once a week with the doctor to see how things are progressing. We will update you as often as we can. Please keep Kadence in your prayers! Damian was a miracle, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we can have one more! 🙂

We went back to the doctor on Monday for another ultra sound. The baby looks GREAT! He/She was bouncing around in there. The baby is currently about 1″ long. All my labs have come back great. We’ll go back to the doctor in 2 weeks for another ultra sound! In one more week I’ll be out of my 1st trimester!
September 22, 2004 – 1:55 pm
Well, by now you all know that I am pregnant. Today I am 7 weeks and 2 days. They have estimated my due date to be May 9th, 2005. I went to the doctor on Monday for an ultrasound, and we found out that I was carrying twins. One of them didn’t make it, according to the doctor it looks like that one never really “planted” like it was supposed to. The other baby is doing GREAT though. We saw a nice strong heart beat of 120-130bpm. We aren’t out of the woods yet, but everything looks really good up to this point. I’ve had some blood work done and we’re waiting on those results now. I am taking the progesterone again this pregnancy, as well as having the shots of blood thinner in my stomach every day. Hopefully in about 10-12 weeks we’ll know what the sex of the baby is.
Another very exciting note… my sister had her baby this morning!!!! She delivered a 10lb 11oz boy early this morning. I don’t have all the details yet, but both her and Logan are doing very well! Looks like between the two of us we’re going to make a lot of grandbabies!!!! Logan is her second, her daughter Anessia is exactly 2 years older than my son Damian. She is currently stationed in Japan for about 2 more years. I can’t wait until she gets back so I can hold my niece and my new nephew!

Hi everyone. We have some big news for you!!!! Rob picked up Warrant Officer last week. That means he’ll actually get promoted on Feb 1st next year. This was the first time he applied for it, and to get it on your first try is a really big deal. We are very proud of him! What this means for us is that he’ll leave for school at the end of February for about 3 months. His two schools are in Virginia and Maryland. Since I don’t want to stay in Idaho without him, Damian and I will go live with my dad and step mom in Pennsylvania while Rob is in school. Living there means we’ll only be about 2 1/2 hours away from Rob, and we’ll be able to see him on the weekends. After he graduates from his school near the end of May, we’ll get orders to our new home. Chances are, we’ll get stationed in California, right outside of San Diego.
As if that weren’t enough good news… we’re expecting another baby!!!!! We just found out this weekend, and according to the doctors we’re about 6-8 weeks along! They have us estimated to deliver around May 1st. Damian’s original due date was May 3rd!!! I’ll be having an ultrasound this week to get a more exact idea of everything… and will update the website with the news… as well as some new pictures.
Hi everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. We spent our weekend with Rob’s mother and step father in California. We had a wonderful time. While we were there, we had our family pictures taken. If you click the picture on the left, you can go to another page to see a couple more pictures from this weekend, as well as some various other family pictures and pictures of Rob and I.
Rob’s dad and step mother are coming to visit us in a couple weeks, we are very excited about their visit. Then we will go to North Carolina & Pennsylvania to visit my family in August. We are having a very busy summer so far!
Rob leaves for 2 1/2 weeks for training in Washington the end of July. He really is enjoying his job. We will find out in August if he gets picked up for Warrant Officer, and if he does we’ll be moving again at the beginning of next year.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 3 months since I’ve updated the website. I know you guys have been wondering how we are. We are all settled into our new house (apartment) in Idaho. Damian is in daycare, and he’s loving it!!! He’s doing really well. Rob is back at work now, been back for about a month and he is really enjoying his new duty station. He has even had time to go fishing! I am working as hard as I can to get everything caught up from our move with my job. The business is going really, really great!
Damian turned 1 April 17th. Can you believe it??? I can’t believe he’s already a year old! Where does the time go? My baby is now a toddler, and he’s into EVERYTHING! He is 2 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 22lbs. He walks, talks, climbs, non-stop from dawn until bed-time. He really is amazing! There is no greater gift than that of a child… and watching him grow and learn is the most precious thing in the world!
We are doing really well in our new environment. Still getting adjusted, but so far so good! I’ll try and update the website more often, and I hope to finally get our wedding pictures up here sometime in the next month or two! Take Care everyone!
I added almost 100 new pictures today! Click here to see the newest ones, there are a few more new ones on page 5 too, as that page got finished up.
I’m going to start adding wedding pictures to this website now. Click the ‘Wedding’ link above to see what I’ve added so far.
