February Updates

We have been busy little bees these last couple months!  We are getting ready to move to Boise, Idaho — Rob is getting transferred to a reserve station there.  He’s active duty still, but he’ll be training the reserves.  We’ll be there for 3 years, unless he picks up Warrant Officer this summer, which it looks like it might happen.  If that happens, we’ll move again in the beginning of 2005, but have no idea where they will send us.

We bought a truck last weekend.  2001 Chevy Tahoe.  We traded in our car, we figured it was smart to have 4 wheel drive living in the snowy mountains of Idaho!  We love it!!!  It’s in perfect shape, and really has lots of room.

Damian is doing really good.  He can stand by himself, and take a step or two, but then he sits down.  He weighs about 21 lbs, and is in to everything.  He says mama, dadda, and no.  When you tell him no, he looks at you and shakes his head no!!!  It’s so cute!

We got married!

It’s been a while, but I finally have some time to update the website.  So much has gone on in the last two months!!!  Rob and I got married on November 15th, and we had a beautiful ceremony.  And for those of you that know me personally, and want to ask the question… yes I was late to my own wedding!!!  I was about half an hour late… But there was just so much to do, and so little time!!!  🙂  We have not gotten our wedding pictures back yet, but when we do we’ll post some here.

By the way, Damian weighs almost 20lbs now, and got his first two teeth last week.  He has started crawling, and is all over the place!

We’re getting married!

You guys have all probably heard by now that Rob and I are getting married, FINALLY!!  The date is set for Saturday, November 15th.

Rob is home

GREAT NEWS!!!! Rob is home!!! He came home Monday afternoon!!!  We had to send a Red Cross message to Rob in Kuwait, because Damian has to go into the hospital to have some tests done, and since they were wrapping things up out there, they let Rob come on home!!!!  He’s on leave for the next 30 days!  Him and Damian are getting to know each other… they are doing really well.  Make sure you check out the latest pictures to see Rob and Damian together!

New Pics

I’ve added some new pictures of Damian today!!  We finally got a new digital camera, and it’s GREAT!  If all goes well, Rob could be home in about 6-8 weeks!!!!

We’re engaged!

BIG NEWS!!!!  Well everybody… it’s official!!!  Rob has proposed!  (Sure took him long enough, hehe).  We have set a tentative date for January 31st next year.  We are expecting him home in about 3 months, maybe a little sooner.  You know me, I’ll be putting up a wedding website soon!!!

Damian is doing fantastic… he’s growing like a weed.  He said momma last week for the first time.  He is trying to sit up, and he pushes himself up on his arms when he’s laying on his tummy.  He is developing very quickly, we think he may even be teething already!!!

Rob is doing well, homesick and wornout, but he’s making it!  That’s all the news for right now.

Pictures of Damian

I’ve added some new pictures of Damian today.  He’ll be 3 months old in 7 days, I just can’t believe he’s growing up so fast!!!  He sucks his fingers now, and he coos and giggles and smiles ALL THE TIME.  He’s a very happy and healthy baby!

We expect Rob to be home sometime in December, so hopefully he’ll be here before Christmas.  Damian will be 8 months old if Rob returns then!  I can’t wait for them to finally get to meet each other.

Damian is doing great

Damian has his two month checkup today.  He had to get 5 immunizations, 2 in each leg, and 1 in his arm.  He didn’t like the shots at all, and he cried and cried!!!!  He is now 23 1/2 inches long (which puts him in the 75 percentile of babies his age, which means he’s longer than 75% of them)… and he weighed in at 11 pounds and 13 ounces (which puts him in the 50th percentile).  He’s doing great, he’s very healthy, and he’s getting more and more social as each day passes.  He’ll go back to the doctor when he’s 4 months old.

Picture Time

I got Damian’s pictures taken today at Sears.  He did really well for his pictures, didn’t start fussing until the last picture!

May Updates

I took Damian to the doctor on Saturday.  He had his tongue clipped last Wednesday (because he was tongue tied) and there appeared to be a bit of infection under his tongue.  The doctor says everything is okay.  I haven’t had Damian weighed in over 2 weeks, so I was very surprised to find out on Saturday that this little porker weighs 8lbs 12oz!!!!!  He’s doing well, still very sore from his procedure, but he’s heeling up quickly.  🙂

I got a phone call from Rob today, it was the first time he’s called since Damian was born.  It was fantastic to hear his voice, and it just so happened that Damian was awake when Daddy called, so Daddy got to hear his son SCREAMING!!!  We feel pretty confident that Rob will be home before September, but we’re not sure how when.  Damian will be a month old on Saturday, so I hope Rob is able to come home really soon so he doesn’t have to miss too much!
