Kadence is 16 days old today.  She had her 2 week checkup yesterday and weighed in at 7lbs and 1oz.  She is gaining about an ounce every day!  She is a great baby, sleeps, eats, poops and then starts that process all over again.  She only wakes up 1-2 times per night (which is better than Damian is doing right now!!!).  Speaking of Damian, he seems to be adjusting quite well for the most part.  He is very protective of his new little sister, and also very loving.  Although from time to time he loves her a bit “too hard”, and occasionally wants to kick, hit or pinch her.  But overall he’s making a great adjustment to being a big brother.  Life here is slowly settling down into a nice little routine.  It’s a bit overwhelming going from a family of 3 to a family of 4, but we all seem to be figuring it out as we go.  I’ve added some pictures today, about 30 of them… click here to see them (some are on the main pictures page, and the rest will be on page 15).

Rob finally got promoted this past Monday to Warrant Officer.  His mother and father were here to pin his new rank on him during the ceremony.  He is very happy to finally get the promotion that he should have gotten back in February.  Rob’s mom and grandmother were here for about 5 days this week, and his father was here Monday for the promotion.  We had a wonderful visit with them all and only wish they could have stayed longer.  Damian misses them already.  My dad and step mom will be here this weekend to visit for a few days, and Damian is already getting ready for them!  Then in June we plan to go up to Rob’s dad’s house for a few days to visit, and then my mother and 3 sisters will be coming here for about 10 days at the end of June.  We have a very busy couple of months, but we’re glad everyone is getting the opportunity to meet Kadence, and see Damian!
