We went to the doctor yesterday, and things look okay.  My cervix has gotten even smaller, which has caused the doctor some concern.  He explained that I have to take it very easy right now, because the cervix can’t get but so much smaller.  He said it’s very important that I keep Damian in for at least another week to week and a half.  He scared me a little bit, because we just hit our 6 month mark, meaning we have 4 months left.  I thought things were going pretty good, and that I’d continue to carry the baby to full term, but according to the doctor, he didn’t think we’d make it that far.  He’s mostly concerned w/ getting another week or so out of the pregnancy, so that the pregnancy is at least viable.  If I go into labor right now, there is no way Damian can survive.  But if I can make it another week or two, his lungs will be developed enough that he can live on a respirator until the lungs fully mature.  So, looks like right now we’re taking things one day at a time, and all we can do is pray that Damian stays in as long as possible.  We go back next week!
